The USFS Campground to State Highway 36 section of Beegum Creek in Shasta / Tehama County is 7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V(V+)     section of whitewater. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. Whitewater paddling here in the Klamath Mountains is a great experience. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the USFS Campground to State Highway 36 section is one of them. The campgrounds here at Beegum Creek are pretty good. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here.   The beautiful scenery of Shasta / Tehama County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Briefly about the general area: Take a hike on the Bluford Trail, and do schedule some time to check out Walker Point if you have a chance. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Klamath Mountains. Beegum Creek is a place with many visitors from Platina; Bear Gulch is a pleasant place to stop at. This is a really good river. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the North Yolla Bolly Cold Fork Trail. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Beegum Creek.
