The wonderful California scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The put-in location is a short drive from Fresno, as you can see on the road map further down. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Some     people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. This is an extremely short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. The beauty of the Central Sierra Nevada is a great plus for this river. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often   tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail is always a great adventure, and there are glorious places to look at along the Bobs Flat Trail.
