This stretch of Cherry Creek - West Fork is 9.5 miles long and is a class V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. drive from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. There are a few other stretches in this river
| system that can be paddled as well. The beauty of the Central Sierra Nevada is a great plus for this river. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more.
