There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Briefly about the
general area: Trace Creek is right by the Clear Creek National Recreation Trail; a delightful place like Klamath National Forest is too pleasant to leave out. Man, is there heaps of amusing things to do in the Klamath
Mountains. While you're here at Trace Creek you will meet lots of folks from nearby Happy Camp. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Trace Creek, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
