Briefly about the general area: Going to Westport-Union Landing State Beach near Eel River - South Fork is a splendid
thing to do, and Dark Canyon is another perfect spot to explore nearby. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever wanna go home again. Here at Eel River - South Fork you'll perhaps meet some people from Branscomb,
and Wages Creek Beach is reasonably nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. This river is a wonderful place to visit. A great site like Standish-Hickey State Recreational Area close to Eel River - South Fork is too splendid to leave out, and Horseshoe Bend is a good location to stop by while in the region.
