The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Red Bluff, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. the general area: Uhl Spring is a scenic location to have a look at while you're at Elder Creek. Going for a hike along the Lanyan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. At Elder Creek you always
meet someone from Paskenta. At Elder Creek during the summer highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Elder Creek.
