This stretch of Kaweah River in California is 4 miles long and has been rated as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter,      there are lots of good places for that around here. Lodging is available near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. The wild scenery of the Southern Sierra Nevada is great. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the North Fork Bridge to Lake Kaweah stretch is just one of them. The put-in location is a short drive from Visalia-Porterville, as you can see on the road map further down. The scenic   beauty of Tulare County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. Briefly about the general area: Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park is a very pleasant place to pop by right next door to Kaweah River, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Three Rivers. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Southern Sierra Nevada is great!. Summertime highs at Kaweah River usually tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's while Kaweah River nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's.
