This section of Kings River in California is 12 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are     less forgiving. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Pine Flat Dam to Centerville stretch is just one of them. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The scenic beauty of Fresno County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.   The river winds through the Central Sierra Nevada and you get great scenery. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Reedley Beach is a stunning beach to stop by. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. White Tank Spring is a delightful local attraction, and close by you hit upon the Bobs Flat Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
