  The wonderful California scenery and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Visalia-Porterville, as you can
    see on the road map further down. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. When you're paddling down a Central Sierra Nevada river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This section
of Kings River - Middle Fork is 6 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V section of whitewater. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has  
a large number of paddling spots. The Above Wishon Reservoir section is one of many paddling sections in this river system.

You have to without doubt explore charming Sandy Cove Beach since you're here at Kings River - Middle Fork. Kings River - Middle Fork gets a common amount of rain. Of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Kings River - Middle Fork throughout the warm days of summer are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's.
