CLASS V     3 miles
The Dinkey Creek to Main Kings Confluence stretch of Kings River - North Fork is 3 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you're coming from Visalia-Porterville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't
forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The campgrounds here at Kings River - North Fork are pretty good. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming
back for more. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. The beauty of the Central Sierra Nevada is a great plus for this river. This is a short paddling stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The beautiful scenery of California and
the playfulness of the water have people coming here. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here.

Briefly about the general area:
The Deep Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Dunlap for sure. So much amusing stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Kings River - North Fork is right by the Bobs Flat Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Kings River - North Fork is close to the national average.
