The Ishi Pishi Bridge to Orleans stretch of Klamath River in California is 8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting   a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: Klamath River is a place with many visitors from Orleans, and if you're here, you might as well take a look at Sawmill Gulch. These mountains rock, just look at all the cool things to do in the Coast Ranges. Going for a hike on the Horse Ridge National Scenic Trail is always a delightful adventure.
