This stretch of Little Sulphur Creek is 11 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V+ section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here     don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The natural beauty of Sonoma County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. The campgrounds here at Little Sulphur Creek are pretty good. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that.   The beauty of the Coast Ranges is a great plus for this river. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Cadd Fire Trail. If you want to hit the beach, Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach is close at hand; you'll meet a lot of folks from Geyserville here. At this river you will always have a good time. You absolutely must go to Clear Lake State Park since you're here at Little Sulphur Creek. A large amount of rain falls at Little Sulphur Creek. January is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is July.
