The wonderful Mendocino County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The Falls to Lake Mendocino stretch of Russian River - East Fork in California is 2.6 miles long and it is classified as a class II+(III) section by American Whitewater. | scenery is wonderful. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Briefly about the general area: If you want
a little side journey, try Hells Delight Canyon, and this is a popular place for folks from Potter Valley. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Coast Ranges. The high level of precipitation makes Russian
River - East Fork a pretty wet place. The month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; July meanwhile is the driest month. Through the months of summer highs here at Russian River - East Fork get into the 90's.
