The Low Divide Road to Gasquet     section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The river winds through the Coast Ranges and you get great scenery. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. The   average California whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving.
