The beautiful scenery of Trinity County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Klamath Mountains scenery is an added bonus. The put-in location is a short drive from Redding, as you can see on the road map further down. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here
| you'll find a large number of good places. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Lewiston to Junction City stretch is just one of them. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. Great exercise and just hanging out | |

Briefly about the general area: A delightful place like Weaverville Joss House State Park near Trinity
River is too fine to leave out, and Shasta Spring is always fun to check out. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Klamath Mountains rocks! You might want to pay a visit to Lance Gulch if you're here at Trinity River.
This is a popular spot for folks from Weaverville, and going for a hike on the Bluford Trail is always a great adventure. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 90's at Trinity River.
