This section of Van Duzen River is 5.2 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river     tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Grizzly Creek to Highway 36 bridge section is one of them. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but   if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The beautiful Coast Ranges scenery is an added bonus.
