The nature scenery of California and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. If you're coming from Truckee-Grass Valley it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map     further down the page so you won’t get lost. This section of Yuba River - Middle Fork in Sierra/ Nevada/ Yuba County is 22 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V section. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Plumago Crossing to Route 49 section is just one of them. There's camping available near Yuba River - Middle Fork. A bit of exercise and just   hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Sierra Nevada is a great experience. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Briefly about the general area: Holden Springs is a beautiful place to pop by while you're at Yuba River - Middle Fork. Going for a hike on the Humbug Trail is always a nice adventure. Don't leave Yuba River - Middle Fork without visiting Malakoff Diggins State Park; a short journey to Jackies Orchard Spring is always worthwhile. This river is a great place to visit.
