If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here.

in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Arkansas River descend into the 0's. It is very dried up here at Arkansas River mostly.
