CLASS IV     6 miles
  The starting location is a reasonable drive from Boulder, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The natural beauty of Boulder County and the water flowing gracefully down Boulder Creek - South will make you feel great. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Colorado you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Great
    exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Rollinsville to
Pinecliffe stretch is just one of many. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beauty of the Front Range is a great plus for this river. The Rollinsville  
to Pinecliffe section of Boulder Creek - South is 6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV section.

Briefly about the general area:
Burns Gulch is a perfect place to spend some time at; the Mount Thorodin Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Front Range. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Eldora; since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Rollinsville. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. A tour to Boulder Creek - South wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Golden Gate Canyon State Park.
