Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The Medicine Bow Mountains scenery is wonderful. There aren’t     any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. The scenic beauty of Larimer County and the water flowing gracefully down Cache La Poudre River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Colorado tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. There are so many stretches   to paddle in this river system, the Steven's Gulch Access to Mishawaka Inn stretch is just one of many. This section is quite short so no need to bring snacks.
