The put-in is not too far from Fort Collins-Loveland, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The wonderful Colorado scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. This is not the only paddling section in this     river system, there are others too. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This is a bit of a short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Colorado is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. When you're paddling down a Front Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the   way too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike along the Wintersteen Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Lory State Park is worth visiting if you're at Cache La Poudre River, and at Cache La Poudre River you always meet someone from Bellvue. This river has it all. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Greyrock Trail; Hill Gulch is absolutely a tremendous place to stop at. Cache La Poudre River is a location that is relatively dehydrated mostly.
