  The wonderful Larimer County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The put-in location is a short drive from Fort Collins-Loveland, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping
    stuff. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Livermore Bridge to Main Stem stretch is just one of them.
This stretch of Cache La Poudre River - North Fork in Larimer County is 11 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The river winds through the Front Range and you get great scenery. The nearby hotels are a bit away  
from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.

Briefly about the general area:
Cache La Poudre River - North Fork is near Long Draw which is undeniably worth a visit. There's fine hiking along the Greyrock Trail, and if you're popping by from Laporte, you won't be the only one. At this river you will always have a good time. Don't leave Cache La Poudre River - North Fork without first going for a hike along the Wintersteen Trail. A spree to Lory State Park when you're here at Cache La Poudre River - North Fork is a perfect idea.
