The Cross Creek stretch of Cross Creek is -blank- miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V+ section of whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill     up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. The wild scenery of the Park Range is great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. The beautiful scenery of Eagle County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Colorado is often tougher than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Cross Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Cross Creek section is the only one. Briefly about the general area: Gotta ski! Vail is   a nice place to do that, and at Cross Creek you always meet someone from Minturn. That right there is a load of amusing things already but it goes on, the Park Range has it all. A glorious place like White River National Forest near Cross Creek is too tremendous to leave out, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Two Elk Trail. This river is always fun. Bishop Gulch is close to Cross Creek and is beyond doubt a great place to explore; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Fall Creek Trail. Summertime at Cross Creek comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's.
