The Norrie Colony to Ruedi Reservoir Inlet section of Roaring Fork in Colorado is 5.7 miles long and is a class IV+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Colorado tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The wonderful Colorado scenery and     the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Norrie Colony to Ruedi Reservoir Inlet section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. Whitewater paddling   here in the Sawatch Range is a great experience. Briefly about the general area: Places like Sylvan State Park are good to explore, and you'll meet a lot of people from Meredith here. Man, is there plenty of fun stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. Foster Gulch is a great spot to stop at nearby, and there are great spots to look at along the Sawyer Lake Trail. At this river you will always have a good time. White River National Forest is a fine location to stretch your legs a bit; going for a hike on the Chapman Trail is always a great adventure.
