The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are plenty     of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The CR 80 to Lyons section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. The beautiful Front Range scenery is an added bonus. This stretch of Saint Vrain Creek - North in Boulder County is 6.5 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Boulder   County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the North Sheep Mountain Trail is always a great adventure, and Saint Vrain Creek - North is not far at all from Lyons. This place, the Front Range, has so much outdoors fun things. A spree to Spring Gulch is always fun, and there are great sites to discover along the Round Mountain Trail. This is a great river.
