the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Denver-Aurora. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. And of
| course, there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whitewater paddling here in the Front Range is a great experience. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Briefly about the general area: On a good day at South Platte River you can take a hike along the South Manitou Park Trail, and Pike National Forest is worth checking
out. All year is a glorious time in the Front Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. While you're here at South Platte River you will meet lots of people from nearby Sedalia.
