  The scenic beauty of Colorado and the water flowing gracefully down White River will make you feel great. The starting location is a short drive from Grand Junction, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The North-South Fork confluence to Green River stretch is one
    of a few paddling stretches in this river system. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have
a lot of people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other places for that.

A pleasant location near White River
is Elledge Draw. Summertime at White River arrives with high temperatures in the 90's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at White River dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. White River is generally a pretty dry spot. During the month of October you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture.
