  The nature scenery of Clear Creek County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. This stretch of Woods Creek is 0.5 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you're coming from Silverthorne it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. If you've been out of state whitewater
    rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking,
either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. This is an extremely short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The wild scenery of the Park Range is great. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river  
system, the Reservoir to Confluence with West Fork Clear Creek stretch is one of them. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here.

Briefly about the general area:
Everybody close by loves skiing at Loveland, and you can go for a hike on the Mount Nystrom Trail. Having a good time in the Park Range is trouble-free. This is a popular place for folks from Silver Plume, and a good spot is Vasquez Pass. This is a great river. Don't leave Woods Creek without first going for a hike along the Sevenmile Ski Trail.
