Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Connecticut are easier than the national norm, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners. Corridor since you're here at Quinebaug River, and do take a hike on the Walkabout Trail. Taking a little tour to nearby Nashawaug is a good idea, and Quinebaug River is right by the Border Trail.
