The wonderful Connecticut scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Still River beats anything. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Connecticut tend to be more forgiving than the     national average, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. This section of Still River in Connecticut is 0.1 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and   spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: When you're here at Still River it's always fun to have a look at Burr Pond State Park, and the smiling people of Riverton like to hang out close by. Everybody close by loves skiing at Ski Sundown, and a splendid forest nearby is Algonquin State Forest. This is a really good river. Tolland State Forest is a great place to stretch your legs a bit, and close by you find the County Road Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. At Still River all through the long summer days highs are in the 80's.
