You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, and if you make reservations
    in advance you're all set. The Marshall Bridge Road to Route 41 stretch of Red Clay Creek in Delaware is 10.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. The starting location is

Lots of folks from Yorklyn come to Red Clay Creek, and Deemers Beach is a beach nearby that you can explore. Brandywine Creek State Park is a good place to go if you're at Red Clay Creek; beaches are pleasant and Deemers Beach is no exception. A river like this
 
is too good to miss. Bellevue State Park is worth checking out if you're at Red Clay Creek. Throughout the summer months at Red Clay Creek highs are typically in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Red Clay Creek nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Red Clay Creek a wet place. The month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture.
