Where on the Hillsborough River are you talking about? Where is this mile long stretch of whitewater paradise because I can't find it! Did you post in the correct section???? Help! I want to do it! Short, only 0.9 of a mile of whitewater in a 1.3 mile stretch, from on highway bridge. from either bridge, all you see is flat water.     Between these two bridges the creek drops 85 feet. STEEP. Yet, there's very little in the way of hazards. I would Guess a creek like this would be CL4+, but I don't know how to rate it since your more likely to get hurt on a CL3 in NY! Oh, there's one play spot, a hole wave. pretty sticky but spits you out if you flip. At high water it turns into a massive wave. Maps and pic, and vids to come! However, forget the 85fpm, forget the fact the water is always warm, forget that it's runnable 300 out of 365 days a year, forget that there's no sharp (all smooth)or undercut rocks, what is really awesome is ''sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves   reasons enough'' to want to paddle here. Says Anonymous The scenic beauty of Florida and the water flowing gracefully down Hillsborough River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
