This is an extremely short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. There are some good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

Park are perfect to visit, and Big Sandy Creek is not far at all from Flovilla. Take a hike on the Kinnard Horse Trail, and Indian Springs State Park is a delightful place to stretch your legs a bit. This river has so much
to offer. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ocmulgee River Trail. Big Sandy Creek is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall. Of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; October is the
month with the least moisture. At Big Sandy Creek throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Big Sandy Creek dip into the 30's.
