This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of   spots for that. The beautiful scenery of Georgia and the water flowing gracefully down Chattooga River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: There are good places to discover along the Bartram Trail, and Woodall Shoals is a fine place to spend some time. This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Lots of people from Lakemont come to Chattooga River, and you can go for a hike on the Chattooga Trail. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure.
