  The nature scenery of Rabun County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The Coleman River Road to Tallulah River section of Coleman River in Georgia is 2.7 miles long and has been rated as a class
    V section by American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The put-in location is a short drive from Cornelia, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the
page. The river winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance  
you're all set. This is a pretty short section so better bring some good walking shoes. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.

Briefly about the general area:
Don't leave Coleman River without first going for a hike along the Hurricane Creek Trail. Sky Valley is a very popular ski area around here; Coleman River is next to Black Rock Mountain State Park which is a beautiful place. This river is so wonderful. This is a popular location for people from Rabun Gap, and you beyond doubt must explore Moccasin Creek State Park while you're here.
