The to Bear Creek stretch of Daniel Creek is 4.6 miles long and has been rated as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Dade County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons     enough to come here to paddle. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The campgrounds here at Daniel Creek are pretty good. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Summerville, as you can see on the road map further down. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: Daniel Creek is a   place with many visitors from Trenton, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Skyuka Trail. Cloudland Canyon State Park is a delightful place to go if you're at Daniel Creek; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Bluff Trail. At this river you will always have a good time. A great place in the neighborhood of Daniel Creek is Little Mans Gulch; Whiteoak Spring is a pretty place to go to while you're at Daniel Creek. Daniel Creek gets a good deal of water. For the period of the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is October.
