Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Georgia is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The Jones Mill/Bethlehem Church to Conasauga Confluence stretch of Jack's River in Georgia is 17.2 miles long and it is classified as a class II-V section by American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will   make you glad you came. Whitewater paddling here in the Great Smoky Mountains is a great experience. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so pack your camp stove. Briefly about the general area: Fort Mountain State Park is a magnificent place; if you want to visit some attention-grabbing stuff, visit Beech Bottom. And if that's not enough there's a lot more exciting things to do in the Great Smoky Mountains. Near Jack's River you locate Crooked Dogwood Gap which is a tremendous place to stop by; if you want to hit the beach, Parksville Beach is nearby. This river is always fun.
