The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Milledgeville, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Putnam County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby |
campground. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Georgia tend to be more challenging than the national
| average, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This stretch of Little River in Georgia is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good places for that around here. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
