The Hurricane Shoals County Park section of North Oconee River is 0.25 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. The put-in is not too far from Cornelia, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
