Georgia whitewater, Ogeechee River Warren county, Jewell to 123 bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II(III)     5 miles   The stretch of river between Hwy 88 and Hwy 24 is NOT navigable; we had to port around deadfall about 20 times and only made it about 10 miles downriver.  We ran out of river (it turned into swamp) and daylight.  The wonderful rangers from the Department of Natural Resources cheerfully hauled us out of the swamp at about 4:00 am. This section of Ogeechee River in Georgia is 5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II(III) section of whitewater. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. There's camping available near Ogeechee River.
