If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The put-in is not too far from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. | you're all set. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots.

at. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Rottenwood Creek with night lows in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are typically in the 40's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Rottenwood Creek tend to be
in the 20's. Rottenwood Creek is a wet spot that gets a good deal of precipitation. The month with most of the rain is March; the driest of the months is October.
