CLASS II-III 29 miles
|
| |
This stretch of Battle Creek is 29 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. The beautiful scenery of Idaho and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The put-in location is a short drive from Boise City-Nampa, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around |
here you won't find a large number of other rivers. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make
| it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. The campgrounds here at Battle Creek are pretty good. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too.
