Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Idaho are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. The nature scenery     of Idaho and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Grace Dam Bridge to Grace Power Plant section is one of them. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Grace Dam Bridge to Grace Power Plant section of Bear River in Idaho is 6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-V section. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance   you're all set. Briefly about the general area: If you feel like a little side tour, try Cedar Hollow; since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Grace. The warmest time of the year at Bear River comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Bear River dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Bear River gets very little rain. June is when you get the most rain here while July is regularly the driest month.
