This section of Boise River in Elmore County is 9 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. The put-in is not too far from Mountain Home, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The scenic beauty of Elmore County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. There's camping available near Boise River. Whether you're whitewater rafting or |
kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are plenty of other stretches
| in this river system that can be paddled as well. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip.

be complete without taking a look at Hot Springs. This river is so wonderful. At Boise River during the summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the
wintertime are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Boise River. An average amount of rain falls at Boise River. January is the wettest month with most snow; July meanwhile is the driest month.
