CLASS I-III 10 miles

This section of Boise River is 10 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Idaho scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. If you're coming from |
Mountain Home it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. There
| are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Idaho are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy.
