If you're coming from Coeur d'Alene it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The wonderful Boundary County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. This stretch of Boundary Creek in Idaho is 10 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. |
If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. There aren’t any hotels right nearby
| but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other spots. Briefly about the general area: Summer brings highs in the 80's to Boundary Creek with overnight lows in the 50's. The
wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Boundary Creek dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. At Boundary Creek you don’t see much rain. During November this area sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
