If you're coming from Missoula it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. The beautiful scenery of Clearwater County and the water flowing gracefully down Clearwater River - North Fork beats anything. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. There |
aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beauty of the Bitterroot Range is a great plus for this river. This
| stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places.
