The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are often more challenging than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The nature scenery of Idaho and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. This stretch of Fish Creek is 1.5 miles long and is a class IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There aren’t |
any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a somewhat short section so you'll have to walk back
| to the start over and over. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Forest Service Road to Lochsa River section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. The beautiful Clearwater Mountains scenery is an added bonus. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here.
