The Big Springs to A-2 bridge Close to Island Park Reservoir stretch of Henrys Fork in Idaho is 9.7 miles long and it is classified as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Idaho and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly   about the general area: Hiking along the Rock Creek Pack Trail is delightful fun, and Henrys Fork is not far at all from Island Park. Not far from Henrys Fork you can enjoy the trees of Targhee National Forest, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Dry Creek Trail. This is such a wonderful river. A tour to Targhee National Forest invigorates the soul, and Henrys Lake State Park is a pleasant place. The amount of precipitation that falls at Henrys Fork is close to the national average. January is when you get the most snow here; the driest month of the year is October.
