  The average Idaho whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Ontario, as you can see on the road map further down. The nature scenery of Owyhee County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. There's camping available near Owyhee River. The Crutcher's
    Crossing to Three Forks section of Owyhee River is 36 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. Now this is a pretty long section, so it looks like you will be camping out. Since you're
on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good spots for that around here. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The Crutcher's Crossing to Three Forks section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.

Saddlehorse Spring is a great local attraction, and close by you come across great places like Berry Gulch. Put some time aside to spend at Idaho Spring since you're here at Owyhee River. Owyhee River is a location that is rather arid ordinarily. The month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Owyhee River reach the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Owyhee River during the winter mostly drop into the 10's.
